My wife and I visited North Assateague at 3 p.m. yesterday, and walked the ocean shore for about 2 and 1/2 miles (to marker post 75). No really unusual sightings. Caspian Tern 9 Brown Pelican 28 + RT Hummingbird 1 Ruddy Turnstone 4 Black-bellied Plover 4 Semi-palmated Plover 21 Least Sandpiper 8 DC Cormorant 1 Willet 15 Mourning Dove 2 clouds of Sanderlings all the regular Gulls On our way home a few miles west of Salisbury, just as the sun was setting, we saw a flock of 70 Canada Geese settle into a corn field near Route 50.
