Hi,

Near the nature center were a gaggle of bird watchers this morning, perhaps
25 in all.

In the big opening ("corral") on Glover Road (I think is the name) south of
picnic areas 17+18 a group of birders saw a Worm-eating Warbler, as well as
Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Black-throated Green,
and several other species. I noted 2-4 each of Bay-breasted, Magnolia, and
Common Yellowthroat.

In the Maintenance Yard we saw 1 Philadelphia Vireo, 1 Least Flycatcher,
229 Broad-winged Hawks, a Merlin, three Ospreys, and 2 or 3 Red-breasted
Nuthatches, a Baltimore Oriole, 2 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks. The Broadwings
started swirling up a few at a time some time around or before 9 am. There
were several groups of 15-35 birds passing overhead.

I believe I heard someone say that 18 species of warblers were sighted this
morning.

Best,

Rob
