Hi, This morning at Rock Creek Park, DC, the composition of the migrants had changed since last Sunday. There were not too many birds, and there were far more sparrows and far fewer warbler/vireo types than the weekend. We were in the picnic areas 17/18 until maybe 8:15-8:30 and then the clearing behind the maintenance yard until 9:15 or so. Migrants seen by me, Lisa Shannon, and Dan Eberly were: Northern Harrier (two), Northern Flicker, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker-1, Eastern Phoebe-5, Blue-headed Vireo-1, House Wren, Gray Catbird, Catharus sp.-1, Am. Robin, Cedar Waxwing, Black-throated Green-1, Blackpoll-1, Magnolia Warblers-1, Common Yellowthroat-1, Scarlet Tanager-1, Rose-breasted Grosbeak (1 imm. male), Indigo Bunting-1, Rufous-sided Towhee-2+, Dark-eyed Junco-1, Chipping-6+, Song-2 and White-throated-3+ Sparrows, and Purple Finch (1 calling and seen flying over with Am. Robins). Best, Rob Hilton
