Hi folks,

I have an idea for something potentially good, but I would
need some help.

Lots of nature centers, parks, sancutaries, etc have
weekly, or monthly naturalist led walks. Some of these
walks are more utilized than others. There have been times
when I have shown up at a place only to find that "the walk
this morning had a..." I know some birders are loners,
some are gregarious, and many (like myself) go back and
forth between the two extremes.

So here's the idea. We could try to compile a list of
expert-led walks and other bird-related events. I know
some of this already appears on the MOS page (thanks, Fran,
et al) but some doesn't. I would be willing to compile a
list, if I could then pass such a list on to someone with
the capability of publishing it (like maybe MOS?). Here is
the plan I propose:

You folks send me minimal important data: where, when, cost
associated, what type of habitats are covered, one or 2
likely "good" species, and who leads it.

  Example:
Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. First Sat of every month.
Entrance fee of $2.50 (free to members). Upland deciduous
forest and freshwater tidal marsh. Eagles and water fowl in
winter, breeding Summer Tanagers and Hooded Warblers.
Migration brings high numbers of Soras and Bobolinks. Led
by combinations of knowledgeable volunteers and staff
naturalists.

Maybe that is even too much info. (BTW, it is a real
example)

I will compile it in some easy-to-read format, and send it
to whomever can post it on a web page.

Any takers?
