Hi,

I spent an hour or two at Pt. Lookout in the late morning today
(10-17-99).  It was raining fairly hard when I left, but in the rain I
saw a Vesper Sparrow.  It was near the blue house north of the picnic
area.  It spent time on either side of the road paralleling the river.
Later it flew towards the large brush pile.  Other birds of interest:
130+ scoter sp. (mostly Surf Scoter is my guess); 1 American Coot; 20
Brown Pelican; and 300+ Tree Sparrow.
