This morning we ventured forth to check a number of western Howard county spots. Warfield pond had a LESSER SCAUP and PIED BILLED GREBES. The fields and scrub around the pond hosted SONG, SWAMP, SAVANNAH, WHITE-CROWN & THROATS, CHIPPING and FIELD along with a little lady COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. A spot of Sheppard Lane was full of sparrows with a good number of singing WHITE-CROWNS. There was a lovely NASHVILLE WARBLER gleaning insects from the leaves a few inches off the ground. Great looks in full sun, a lovely little bird! Bonnie Ott
