News from Talbot County:
Yesterday, Nov 6th, small flocks of Tundra Swans passed over my property,
most of them on a quite direct north-to-south flight line and pretty high.
Toward evening, one flock of 63 of them was low enough for very enjoyable
viewing.

Today my first Purple Finch of the year showed up at a feeder. This one
was a beautifully marked adult male. Last year I had but one visit by a
Purple Finch. Hope there will be more this year. Two Pine Siskins have
continued to visit the feeder in recent days.
