Hi All:
First, from Sat., no direct report from Marcia Whitmyre yet, but was
talking to someone who was there and they reported another great
Red-tail flight with around 120 birds total. Will post. 7,000 just got
a lot closer!!
Todays count was not a big help, 12 birds total!! 1- NH, 2- BE, 1- TV,
4-RT, 3-SS and 1- UR. However, the unidentified leaves me wishing I`d
got on this bird. My husband described a brief look at the topside of a
bird( eagle sized ) with white wing patches and white base of tail.
Possible Golden/Rough-legged??
36 total species counted from the hawk watch 9:15 to 11:30 including
a singing WINTER WREN, RUSTY BLACKBIRD-2, TUNDRA SWAN-12,
SCAUP SP-~50, PURPLE FINCH and PINE SISKIN. Several hundred each of
BLUEBIRD and CEDAR WAXWING.
