If anyone is headed to the lower eastern shore tomorrow ...

I had a voice message this evening from Leo Weigant. He stopped at
Blackwater NWR (south of Cambridge, Dorchester County, MD) this afternoon
and saw on the sighting list that Bob Odear of Tennessee had a Franklin's
Gull near there earlier in the day (Saturday, December 12/4/1999). It was
seen at the intersection of Greenbrier Road and Bucktown Road.

From the Blackwater NWR entrance, head east on Key Wallace Drive, left
onto Maple Dam Road, bear right on Greenbrier Road, go about 2-1/2 miles to
the intersection of Bucktown Road. The gull was seen here in with a flock
of Ring-billeds. When Leo checked in the late afternoon, however, no gulls
were present.

Franklin's Gulls on the eastern shore are "reviewable" ... see the MD/DC
Records Committee Review List and Documentation Checklists on the MOS web
site at the URL, below.

Thanks.

Phil
