I think the idea of redoing the MD comp list is great! I also agree that we don't need to compete against anyone else. Perhaps just competing with the 1999 list would be enough.

Also, an ABA composite list would be really cool. Jane and I are going to be traveling extensively in 2000 and would love to add our sightings to a composite list. Of course, the first month or two of compiling are going to be exhausting!
