At 1PM on Saturday 12/18 I located the Dickcissel that had been previously seen at Lake Elkhorn, Columbia, MD. It was near the dam and townhouses with a flock of house sparrows. I re-located it about 15 minutes later about 100 yards from the boat ramp still with house sparrows. Also at the lake were two Bonaparte's Gulls, Ring Necked Ducks, Pied Billed Grebes, Ruddy Ducks, Coots, and two Canvasbacks. I got a good look at the chestnut collar on the neck of a Ring-Neck Duck as he faced the sun and extended his neck while flapping his wings in the water. Joe Hanfman Columbia, MD
