Andy, I used to live close to Gunners Lake and would often walk the path around it, bins in tote. Unfortunately, it has never been a location that produced much other than meeting lots of people who want to know what you're looking at and a bazillion pets. If you live close and have a *very* limited time schedule, it's always been my philosophy that it's better to be birding than not. You'll be lucky to turn much up here, though. A few migrants do pass through and the small lake gets ducks of a small variety in winter. Your time while in Germantown would be far better spent at Black Hills Regional Park (in my opinion). After having said all this, if you find a great bird there, let me know! <grin> -Greg Miller Hollywood, MD --- Andy Rabin <andyrab@wam.umd.edu> wrote: > Hi folks, > > I was wondering if anyone has birded Gunners Lake > in Germantown (Wisteria Rd just west of Waring > Station Rd) with any regularity.
