[MDOsprey] Kelp Gull, St. Mary's County, MD, Update 12/23/99

    Tyler Bell and I went past the Sea Breeze Restaurant in Sandgates, MD,
from 1-1:30 p.m. on 12/23/99. The Kelp Gull was hunkered down with a mixed
flock of Herring Gulls, Ring-billed Gulls, and Great Black-backed Gulls on
the pier of the Sandgates Inn Restaurant (the traitor!) It put on a great
aerial display directly overhead with a GBBG dogging it, but Tyler couldn't
quite get the video camera up and running in time.
    The owners and managers of the Sea Breeze asked me to pass on their
happy holiday wishes to all who have come to know them through their
association with the Kelp Gull. Here's wishing for a happy new bird, er,
year, for all!
