The Short-eared owls have been seen at the intersection of Old Frederick
Rd. and route 76 as recently as Sunday evening. Stan Arnold (I think
that is the right name...) and I had amazing looks at one owl that flew
right over us. All we could say was WOW!

Also, there was a very good report of a White-winged crossbill at Baker
Park in Frederick. The bird was seen briefly in a flock of Am.
goldfinches at the route 15 end of the park.
The bird was described as red with dark wings with white patches, not
wing bars but patches.
