We spotted a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER yesterday next to our property in Easton. It was in a tree and flew to a hole in a nearby tree. It stayed in the area while we were there. I don't know who is doing the Atlas project in that area, but I thought they might want to know it is there. We thought the bird caught something and brought it to the hole, but it is too early for young. There is also a PURPLE FINCH still at the house.
