Last year, the Queen Anne's County High School Birding Team consisting
of Zach Baer, Jim Wilson, Ben Thiesse, and Will Covington entered the
ABA Tropicbirds Junior Birder Competition. They named their team the
ABA Maryland Harriers and used the New Jersey Audubon Society World
Series of Birding as their 24 hour birding experience. They finished
4th in Division B for Youth Teams, identifying 154 Species in Cape May
County.

However, this total was good enough for 1st Place in the ABA Tropicbirds
Competition! Today, they received their prize ... a new Leica T62
Spotting Scope with a 16 - 48x Leica Zoom Eyepiece. If you see any of
these young birders out in the field (and it is tough to miss Zach)
congratulate them on a job well done.

Designated Driver for the WSB Youth Team
