This morning there were Northern Bobwhites calling in two of my
Atlas blocks - after a long period of quiet. They were so quiet last fall
that I thought the foxes had eaten them all.  
        Also this morning Talbot County searching yielded Yellow-breasted
Chat, White-eyed Vireo, Green Heron and one Wild Turkey.  Lots of Oven birds
were calling, along with one Wood Thrush and one Worm-eating Warbler.
        And finally - the first Bluebirds of the year hatched today at
Pickering Creek. Seven of the boxes have active nests at this time.
