If a non House Sparrow is nesting in the box now, I suggest waiting a few
weeks to let the chicks hatch.  Taking the box apart at this point may cause
the species to abandon the nest.  Chickadees take only about three to four
weeks.  If you watch the nest you should be able to determine the species.
If it is Chickadees, make sure you clean the box after they finish the nest.
They may return for a second brood.  Maybe you can watch the young from the
first nest assist the adults in raising/feeding the next brood.
