Saturday was opening day for Rockfish in the bay, the fish were not biting
so I birded while on the boat between Thomas point Light and Bloody point
Light. It was cold, windy and 2 foot chop until about 1030 am when it
calmed down. Still chilly on the bay only 53 degrees water temp. Once we
came back inland the air temp jumped up and so did the water temp up to 58
degrees.

Notables were:

Nothern Gannet (lots!! 24+)
Scoter spp. (most likely Black, 2 flocks of 4)
Common Loon (6)

On a side note, first of the year for me:
Route 50 & I-97
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly
