Morgan (aka: the Black Rider*) is getting so good on her new mountain bike
that I found myself just standing there while she zipped around doing all of
her new tricks. That is when I noticed the birds overhead: An Osprey was
traveling with an American Kestrel. Gliding into a thermal they circled
three or four times then continued on their northward flight. In only 45
minutes [with attention split between the raptors and ³what¹s-her-name²] I
saw the following: Osprey (3), Bald Eagle (1 adult), Northern Harrier (1
female), Sharp-shinned Hawk (4), Cooper's Hawk (1), Broad-winged Hawk (16),
Red-tailed Hawk (1), American Kestrel (5), and a Peregrine Falcon. There
was no great kettle of swirling birds; but this trickling was very exciting.

*Yes, another Tolkien reference.
