Birding in Kinder Farm Park for about 2 hours this morning in those wind gusts produced 33 species. No warblers but lots of sparrows and a PIED-BILLED GREBE. PIED-BILLED GREBE, CANADA GOOSE, MALLARD, TURKEY VULTURE, OSPREY, NORTHERN HARRIER (A male and female together), COOPER'S HAWK, RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, ROCK PIGEON, RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER, NORTHERN FLICKER, NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD, BROWN THRASHER, EASTERN BLUEBIRD, AMERICAN ROBIN, CAROLINA CHICKADEE, TUFTED TITMOUSE, AMERICAN CROW, EUROPEAN STARLING, EASTERN TOWHEE, CHIPPING SPARROW, FIELD SPARROW, VESPER SPARROW, SAVANNAH SPARROW, SONG SPARROW, WHITE-THROATED SPARROW, DARK-EYED JUNKO, SWAMP SPARROW, NORTHERN CARDINAL, RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD, BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD, AMERICAN GOLDFINCH, HOUSE SPARROW. Sparrows have been in abundance our last few trips to Kinder. Pied-billed Grebe was actually in a small pond just off the road to the right coming from East-West Blvd to Kinder but it is on Kinder property. Regards, Tom & Sharon Bradford
