Hi All,

I went to Point :Lookout this morning since it was not raining and the
sun was shining. The wind is very gusty so things are keeping low, but
there were a few birds at the very point. This has not been the case in
the few times that I have made the walk there since the hurricane.

At point:

Swamp Sparrows, Savannah Sparrows, pair of American Wigeon, Chipping
Sparrows, Song Sparrows, Common Yellowthroat (2), Palm Warbler (yellow),
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (7), Great Egret, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Northern
Mockingbird, Tree Swallows, Barn Swallows and 1 Mute Swan.

Elsewhere in park:

Green Heron (new for year), many more Common Yellowthroats and kinglets
and gnatcatchers, Pine Warbler, Eastern Phoebe, Brown Thrasher, Merlin
and Prairie Warbler (new for year) , a waterthrush.

Longneck Road:

1-2 Vesper Sparrows (new for St. Mary's for year and 1 singing), !000's
Tree Swallow, Rough-winged Swallow (new for St. Mary's for year), 13
Barn Swallows, 6 Eastern Meadowlarks, 2 Cattle Egrets (new for year), 1
Snowy Egret.

Good Birding,
Patty Craig
