Hi all --

This is our first report from Rock Creek Park DC this spring, tied up last
week with dog shows --

It was a moderately interesting day with some nice birds, but still the peak
of activity is obviously some time in the future. We had 8 warbler species
and some other migrants, all in the usual vicinity of picnic areas 17/18,
plus Nature Ctr. and Maintenance Yard.

Warblers: Myrtle (~50), Ovenbird (5), Louisiana Waterthrush (1),
Black-and-White (3), Black-throated Green (3), Wormeating (2), Palm (1,
western), Parula (1).

Other migrants: Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (~25), Ruby-crowned Kinglet (8), Wood
Thrush (2), Hermit Thrush (5), Blue-headed Vireo (2), Towhee (25 at least),
Field Sparrow (2), Scarlet Tanager (1).
