This morning I birded my atlas blocks (2 adjacent blocks along the Herring
Run River), and while I did not see as many species has I had hoped, what I
did see was very good. Including the usual species, I also saw:

Mallard - 6
Osprey - 1, perched and then flew off with headless fish
Cooper's - 2, continues on nest w/ mate close by
Red-shouldered Hawk - 3, two soaring together overhead
Sharp-shinned Hawk - 1
Chimney Swift - 1
Red-bellied Woodpecker - 2, have finally upgraded this species to "on nest"
Hairy Woodpecker - pair together
Eastern Kingbird - 1
White-eyed Vireo - 3
Blue-headed Vireo - 2
Red-eyed Vireo - 1
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 3
Hermit Thrush - 4
Gray Catbird - this year's first for me in Baltimore City
Brown Thrasher - 1
Northern Parula - 1
Palm Warbler - 1
Eastern Towhee - 4

The kingbird and the vireos were all the first for me this year.
