New Birds for the Year at the American Chestnut Land
Trust:

Common Yellowthroat
House Wren
Great Crested Flycatcher

Best Sighting:

Heard some high pitched notes, then saw an Ovenbird
cross the path. There were two of them, creeping in
the leaf litter, occasionally emitting these short
high pitched notes which I couldn't have heard if I'd
been a few yards further away. I never noticed this
before--presumably the sounds are useful for keeping
in contact.

PS April 19th, pm, I was with a group on the beach,
helping them find fossils. Saw about 30 Surf Scoters
off shore.
