<<<I was listening to ours one night and I swear it sounded like a ringing
telephone at one point. I've heard of bowerbirds imitating cameras and cars
horns. Do our mockingbirds copy our racket, too?



We have a mockingbird in our area that sounds like a ringing phone.

I've heard them imitating the same birds, but in different ways.  For
example, I heard one a few days ago copying two Cardinals at the same time -
one close and one distant.
