        Sunny, breezy, roughly 60F

        Highlights were:

        Northern Rough-Winged Swallows (20+)
        Palm Warbler (year bird. May be a life bird, too)
        Spotted Sandpiper (2)
        Orchard Oriole
        Belted Kingfisher (2)
        Grey Catbird
        Common Yellothroat (year bird)
        Yellow-Rumped Warbler (2+)
        Blue-Grey Gnatcatcher.

        In general, a whole lot of birds going on. Some of these are new to our
fledgling DC list.

        Other species noted: Canada Goose (several pairs had chicks), Goldfinch
(2+), White-Throated Sparrow, Great Blue Heron, Osprey (2+), Red-Winged
Blackbird, American Robin. Also, possible Solitary Sandpiper.
