Around 2:30 Friday afternoon at Hughes Hollow, a king rail flushed from
the large impoundment toward the 2nd impoundment on the right, landed on
a dead branch, surveyed the scene for a minute, then dove for cover. A
rail sitting on the branch like that seemed odd to me.
