Hello, birders.

Some highlights of birding on TR Island on Sunday
morning:

-EASTERN KINGBIRD - 4, incl. 1 pair with 1 carrying
nesting material on the Virginia side (parking lot)
-WARBLING VIREO - 1 pair at parking lot
-SWAINSON'S THRUSH - 2
-CEDAR WAXWING - counted 2 flocks totaling 43, may
have been more
-10 SPECIES of warblers
1 PROTHONOTARY in the swamp. He was hard to see and
moved around a fair amount, probably the same bird
seen by Tom Ewert the day before
1 YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER in the woodland opening
with the thicket to the north of the monument. Too
late for a migrant; is it a potential breeder?
3 PALM (brown race), 1 singing
  4 BLACKPOLL
  also PARULA, YEL.-RUMPED, B&W, WORM-EATING,
OVENBIRD, NO. WATERTHRUSH
-ROSE-BR. GROSBEAK
-I. BUNTING
