Highlights of my brief walk to Lake Kittamaqundi before it was
interrupted by a passing storm: Bank Swallow flying with a flock of
Barn Swallows; Killdeer on the sandbar where the stream from Wilde Lake
enters the lake (it later flew across the lake to the east shore);
Solitary Sandpiper on the mud flat near the stream.
Yesterday my husband Ken Board heard a singing Hooded Warbler in the
woods near the lake.
