Feliz de dia de cinco de mayo! (belated)

After working at the Chestnut Point Marina in Cecil County I met my wife
and 3 month old daughter Liv for a trip around MD's portion of the
Susquehanna River yesterday afternoon. We covered The Carpenter' Point
Area and Port Deposit in Cecil County and Conowingo and Rock Run in
Harford County. Below is a breakdown of notable birds. (70 species in all,
not all listed though.)

Carpenter's Point (Cecil):
Spotted Sandpiper
Chimney Swift
NRW Swallow
Barn Swallow
Tree Swallow
Great-crested Flycatcher
White-eyed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
House Wren
N. Parula
Indigo Bunting
Baltimore Oriole

Port Deposit (Cecil):
Bonaparte's Gull
Broad-winged Hawk (in a kettle of TV's and BV's)

Conowingo (Harford):
Hundreds of Corms!
Caspian Tern
the three before-mentioned swallow sp.
ZERO Eagles!
B-g Gnatcatcher
R-e Vireo
W-e Vireo
N. Parula
Ovenbird
Goldfinch
Baltimore Oriole

Rock Run (Harford):
Wood Duck
three swallow sp. (above, plus new one below)
P. Martin
both vireos (above, Red-eyed ON NEST!)
G-c Flycatcher
R-t Hummer (first of the year for me!)
Chimney Swift
B-g Gnatcatcher
House Wren
N. Parula
YR Warbler
Redstart
Baltimore Oriole (20+)
Orchard Oriole (1)
Indigo Bunting

Later that evening while mulching a garden at my house I had another
hummer buzz my head while kneeling under the feeder!

Good Birding,
