H all --

Not as many birds today at Rock Creek Park DC, but still lots of them! and
some good ones seen as well, in vicinity of picnic areas 17/18, nature
center, and Military Field. The maintenance yard was more quiet but did have
a Lincoln's Sparrow for Jim Lemert!

We had 19 species of warbler today, plus one seen by another birder -- in
last two days there have been at least 23-24 species of warbler at Rock
Creek!

Warblers (seen and heard): Black-and-White (3), Blackpoll (15 -- at least!),
Black-throated Green (12), Black-throated Blue (15), Bay-breasted (2),
Canada (2), Chestnut-sided (2), Magnolia (3-4), Myrtle (~150), Nashville
(1), Northern Waterthrush (1), Ovenbird (5), Parula (10), Palm (1, Western
--late!), Redstart (4), Yellowthroat (5), Yellow (1), Worm-eating (1),
Wilson's (1, singing in same spot one stayed 2 weeks in 2003); seen by
another birder, Cape May (1).

Others: Red-eyed Vireo (20), Yellow-throated Vireo (1), Scarlet Tanager
(15-20 -- singing everywhere), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (3), Blue Grosbeak (1,
adult male), Great Crested FC (5), Baltimore Oriole (2), Wood-pewee (3),
White-throated Sparrow (3, last ones?); seen by others, Lincoln's Sparrow.

Also, 100s of Waxwings making it hard to hear other birds!
