This morning while seeking the Red Knot reported yesterday, I failed to find
the Knot, but was still treated to a viewing of a Barnacle Goose that the
night's storms must have blown in.  The bird, surely an escapee, carries a
metal band on its left leg, and was in the general vicinity of some 20
Canada Geese beside those ponds.
        Other species there included:
                4 Wood Ducks
                4 Semipalmated Sandpipers
                40+ Least Sandpipers
                8 Greater Yellowlegs
