Weather:
Another hot, hazy, humid day with almost no clouds; 70-84 degrees;
southwest winds, 6-12 mph.
Observations:
Two adult Mississippi Kites! The first arrived at 11:07 following on
the coat-tails of some vultures. It circled a few times, then made a
rapid exit out to the northwest. The second came 7 minutes later with its
wings cocked gull-like and glided across the sky heading NNW. Last year,
our only three MK's of the season came on the same day, May 12.
