Hi --

Finally, the warblers decided to come through in numbers and all the birders
present at Rock Creek Park, DC, in the vicinity of picnic areas 17/18,
Nature Ctr, stable and maintenance yard saw lots of beauties! 20 species at
least were seen (or in a few cases, heard only) but we may have missed some
of the reports. Other migrants were also around, tons f Scarlet tanagers and
Cedar waxwings. Still lots of Yellow-rumps but their proportion of the
warbler total is at last going down!

Birds we saw or heard:

Warblers:  Black-and-White (8-10), Blackburnian (2), Bay-breasted (2),
Black-throated Green (15-20 -- many heard only), Black-throated Blue (12),
Blackpoll (8), Chestnut-sided (4), Cape May (1), Magnolia (4), Myrtle
(~200), Nashville (2), Ovenbird (6), Parula (8-10), Redstart (4), Tennessee
(2), Worm-eating (1), Wilson's (1), Common Yellowthroat (4), Yellow (1).
Heard by others: Louisiana Waterthrush.

Others: Swainson's Thrush (1), Wood Thrush (4), Veery (4), seen by others;
Gray-cheeked (1), Yellow-throated Vireo (2), Red-eyed Vireo (~30), Baltimore
Oriole (2), Scarlet Tanager (20), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (3), Wood-pewee
(3), Great Crested FC (1), Acadian FC (2), Cedar Waxwing (100s),
yellow-billed Cuckoo (3), heard by others: Black-billed Cuckoo (1).
