I went looking for the Red-necked Phalarope at Mason-Dixon Farm today and
arrived there a little after 1 PM. I found not one but two phalaropes - the male
that had been seen previously and also a female in breeding plumage. The
whole time I was there, they swam fairly close to each other, mostly at the end
of the pond nearest the muddy lane. When I left at about 2:45, they were
swimming towards the opposite end of the pond.
