While visiting my son at Salisbury; I did some cursory birding this weekend.
the black-necked Stilt ( along with a white-rumped sandpiper and 25-30 other peeps, yellowlegs and other reg. shorebirds) was at the Route 50 borrow pit on Friday May 05/21 but not on Saturday. Also, 2 Black-necked Stilts were reported from Elliot Island.
2 Chuck-Will's widow at Truitt landing on Friday; along with a dazzling chorus of frogs in the marsh and 6-8 Great Horned owls ( 8-9:30 pm).
Pokomoke Forest was loaded with Prothonotary Warblers and others.
Red-headed woodpecker flew by north of Route 50 on the Road to the Delaware line at the Pokomoke Swamp.
good birding
