Hello All,
Shelly, Tori and I were finally able to chase the kites today after
the weather interrupted our plans for last weekend. It was well worth the
wait. We arrived around 10:45 AM and quickly had one and then three
Mississippi Kites. One or two would appear every 15 minutes or so until we
left at noon. The Swallow-Tailed gave us a nice show being in view from
11:35 - 11:46 AM and at one point coming directly overhead. Both birds were
state birds for Shelly and I. And they make some pretty good birds to start
Tori's list with, though I doubt she will remember :)
Thanks again to Sean and his neighbors for sharing these wonderful birds.
Good Birding,
Glen, Shelly and Tori Lovelace
