Phil,
Well, this certainly belies all that bluff & bluster about how
tough birding is up in those Alaskan outposts. Now we know the real
story about what birding with you is like. Tell us , what sort of
champagne did you have in the cooler? and escargot or caviar for
appetizers?

MD Osprey:

I'd like to register a complaint! It took us about 90 minutes of time
to
drive up to Elkton this afternoon (6/10) .... when Barbara and I got
there
at 3:40 pm, we had to wait FIVE WHOLE MINUTES for the first
Mississippi
Kite to show ... THEN, we had to wait another FOUR WHOLE MINUTES for
the
Swallow-tailed Kite to display. Sheesh! ... we are very important
people
... we have places to go, things to do, people to see ... Next time,
can
someone arrange to have the birds on display WHEN WE ARRIVE, so we can
promptly tick them and then move on ... Thanks.

<grin> ... or <groan>, as the case may be ...

Phil
