After living in my neighborhood since 1996, this is the first year I've
noticed Yellow-billed Cuckoos around. I heard one a few weeks ago in one of my
neighbor's trees, and then this morning I heard one briefly in a tree next to my
 house before I saw it fly away doing its distinctive "k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k-k kalp
 kalp kalp" call.
