Hi Dianne,

This reply on list is to ask if by chance you picked up the Pileated
Woodpecker and put it in a freezer?  We could use one for a study skin or
mount for Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Education Center.  It is a good
example to show 1st grade students when learning about the woodpeckers
beak.

Speaking of CSI.  On Friday last week I lead a animal tracks and signs
hike and we made plaster casts of animal tracks.  One of the parents
asked is this like they do on the TV  show CSI.  Funny how often the
subject TV shows pops up in an interpretive nature program.
