It was SO CUTE!

   Are you sure it wasn't a sparrow? I know you were tired!

    I was also shocked to discover at least 2 Bobwhite in my atlas block. I
have not seen Bobwhite in Howard county since the early 90's.
    I don't see much change in the habitat so maybe there is an upswing.
