"Jamaa and Mike" said they have had a BARN OWL in their back yard for two
days. They have watched it fly and have been able to approach it within
several
feet. They are obviously concerned about the bird and said they would
appreciate it if a biologist or Audubon member would come to their home to
assess the
situation. They said they have many photographs of the bird and they will
e-mail them to me this evening. Although the bird has flown Jamaa was
concerned
that it may be injured and may need attention......
I called the home number and left a message suggesting that they call Second
Chance Wildlife Center in Gaithersburg (301.926.WILD) to see if someone
there can go over to assess the bird.
