Use the Yellowbook Field List of the Birds of Maryland by Iliff, Ringer, &
Stasz.  The Garrett County list is still pretty accurate.  Also, Claudia
Wilds book, "Finding Birds in the National Capital Area" should be helpful.
Get the second edition.  Check out Chapter 17, The Appalachian Plateau.  The
locations described in Claudia's book are still very good sources for
Garrett County.  Both references should  be at either the ANS bookstore or
the MOS bookstore on line
