You asked about Broad-winged Hawks atlas sightings this year.
Jeff Culler and I have been atlassing the Woodbine NW and Woodbine NE quads
this year, and interestingly Jeff had his first BW Hawk only last Thursday,
July 8 (flying and vocalizing) in WNW, and then on Friday, July 9 we had a
BW Hawk (flying but not vocalizing) in Woodbine NE. Both sightings were
along the CSX railroad tracks along the Patapsco River about 4.5 miles
apart. We did not search for nests.
