I know everybody out there loves to keep lists. Here's one for you - birds
that I inevitably stop to try to locate whenever and wherever I hear them.
My list would be mostly warblers, but there are others - like Bill Hubick's
broadwing, redheaded woodpeckers,
And this one: Northern Bobwhite on the west side of the bay. Just heard
one this morning somewhere down near the lake. If he keeps it up, I'm bound
to go looking for him. There has been a lot of discussion about their
population on here lately. I say it's definitely rising again. When we start
hearing them in northern Carroll County, the bird is definitely making a
comeback. They've been absent here for a long time.
