Greetings,
Durring my short stay at home today I spent a couple of hours walking
through the woods that borders my Father-in-laws property. I didnt find
anyting unusal -no ravans or anything ;)... But I did run into 25 species
of so on the two mile loop. Of not were many recently fledged birds. the
list of notables are below.
-Red-tailed Hawk (VERY young looking-uniform dark and small, struck me
-Bald Eagle (Adult at a Beaver pond deep in the woods)
as "broad-winged-esque" -and not a very confident flyer yet)
-Yellow-billed Cuckoo (calling)
-Acadian Flycatcher (Singing)
-Eastern Wood-pewee (Singing)
-Red-eyed Vireo (Singing)
-White Breasted Nuthatch (Calling -I have seen/heard very few of these this
summer)
-Wood Thrush (Singing)
-Worm-eating Warbler (2 Fledglings)
-Northern Parula (Singing with much gusto)
-Eastern Towhee (Singing)
Good Birding,
