This afternoon (7/18) I saw 7 Cattle Egrets in the field at the MD 3 and
St. Stephen's Church Road intersection (just north of Crofton).  They were
feeding in a loose group in the field very close to the north bound lanes
of MD 3.

I then went to Oxbow Lake.  This great spot was pretty quiet this
afternoon, but there were several Great Blue Herons, 1 Great Egret, 2 Green
Herons, many, many Wood Ducks, and an adult Eastern Wood-Pewee feeding
young. Also present was a Belted Kingfisher, Goldfinch, Swifts, and many
Red-winged Blackbirds.
