Very nice morning spent watching more parent-juvenile interactions in our backyard.

A second family of Red-bellied Woodpeckers has shown up, with 3 juveniles (much smaller, "younger" looking than the other 2 who've been around for well over a week).

3 juvenile Blue Jays were begging their parents for food from high up in the tree, while parents visited the feeders for them.

A 2nd juvenile Ruby-throated Hummingbird came to the feeder on our deck (seemed smaller, different streaking on the throat than the last one seen).

An adult Great Blue Heron had the grace to fly over. A male Red-winged Blackbird has been hanging around the last 3 days (1st one seen since spring).
