There is still room on our pelagic out of Lewes, DE on Saturday, August 28.
This is the time of year to search for White-faced Storm-Petrel, and is also a
good time to try for Long-tailed Jaeger. This trip sold out in advance last
year so if you are interested, please let us know. The trip is now over half
filled.

Currently, there appears to be a large incursion of warm Gulf Stream water
coming inshore of the canyons. If these conditions persist, it increases the
chance for seeing Bridled Tern, numbers of Audubon's Shearwater, and it also
increases the chance of finding one of the warm-water rarities regularly seen
off of North Carolina.

This is also a good time for Cory's and Greater Shearwaters, Wilson's and
Leach's Storm-Petrel, Red-necked Phalarope, South Polar Skua, Pomarine and
Parasitic Jaegers, and Common, Arctic, and Black Terns.

Our target destination is the Baltimore Canyon and, if time permits, the
Wilmington Canyon. Time will be spent in both MD and DE waters. Here are the
details.

    Time: 5:00 AM - about 7:00 PM
    Cost: $125
    Boat: 85' Thelma Dale IV
    Leave: Fishermen's Wharf, Lewes, DE

For further information, E-mail us at , call us, or see our
web site.

Hope to see you aboard!
